Sunday School

The children are enjoying the Easter season.  They decorated Alleluia signs to proclaim the resurrection of Jesus.  We also did our annual pretzel-making activity.  Ask the kids why pretzels have significance to Christianity.

We’re looking forward to the annual roller skating event on Sunday, May 20.  The youth will be joining us this year.  Last year there was a tornado.  That does not need repeating!

Children’s Chapel

In chapel we have been discussing Jesus’ death and resurrection.  We have had some discussion about how it must have felt for His friends to see Jesus again and realize that what was foretold had come to pass.

Youth News

The teens met in April for an evening of faith and fun.  We talked about the Easter season and ways to spread the joy of Jesus.

Jacob Carlson and Holden Hagerman attended the TEC (Teens Encounter Christ) weekend.

Our spring youth event will be roller skating on Sunday, May 20.  We will be welcoming Evan Troyer, Priscilla Hagerman, Jillian Zaun, and Mac Herbers as new members of the youth group.

Confirmation

The youth being confirmed (Jacob Carlson, Holden Hagerman, Abby Smith, Addia Troyer, and Hazen Vitullo) are busy writing their declarations of faith and preparing for the confirmation service taking place at St. George’s on May 16 at 7 p.m.  All are welcome to celebrate with us.
